hmm, i don't really like conspiracy's demos that much... they are very good, but in the demoscene there are better guys for sure ;)

Farbrausch, Loonies, RGBA and TBC are my favorite groups. Loonies's style is different than others though. I actually met one of their group's member in BP 2007, yeah, he's the amazing coder.

conspiracy's good in design and stuff, music. But you must see the "Chaos Theory", it's their best demos.

From A Fire Upon the Deep. Is it supposed to be a picture of the Countermeasure?

btw, all the devs in my gallery were made with (only) my programs.

you're one of the people i would've liked to beta test my new flame rendering app, but development on that has stalled with this new 3d renderer  i might pick it up again after exams finish in november.

it's rendered with my old 3d fractal rendering app, from june/july 2006 (when i first started collaborating with *Aexion). you can check a render made with my new one here: [link] (my next deviation is gonna rock it, which is why that one is in scraps ;))

anyways thx for the fav mate!

Overall I think it's a bit too bleached to have maximum impact, and there are some ugly bits in the "fire", but overall... OMINOUS! :)

sorry, the variations in my scraps are for the other image in the series (a deepness in the sky). it's also made with the same program though, and the two scenes are related.

Is that a modelling job, or a fractal?

thanks, it's a (3d) fractal. hope to code my next generation 3d fractal renderer (a ray tracer) before too long, but there's a ton of other stuff to do now that my uni year is over...

You managed to surprise me. Even startle me. What a texture contrast - one part feels melting hot, the other - close to frozen! And methinks you just gave me something to hunt down and read too ...

my browser is incredibly slow right now (it could only open about 3 cm of the image in 3 minutes), so I shall come back tomorrow for another try at the full view. it does look like it's going to blow my mind once I can properly view it, just from the small view :)
it's quite different from your older stuff though, very complex and detailed.. (that's not bad :D)
hope your exams are going (went?) well.. I know mine didn't :P

oh and most of my exams went well, but i messed up the hardest one because of a really stupid lack-of-sleep mistake :( it's so damn unfair, because i worked my ass off to be prepared enough then stressed all night and didn't get any sleep...

anyhoo, i have a feeling a smart girl such as yourself won't have too much trouble with school exams, just keep yer chin up eh :)

yeah.. just as I guessed.. impressive stuff! :D I love the contrast between the two parts.. and the middle part kinda reminds me of Escher's art for some reason.. haven't heard about anything mentioned at the links in the description, shall check out for more info.. :)

thanks :) the "blatantly geometric" look is definitely bordering on escher's territory, but he definitely pulls it off with a lot more elegance and less brute force!

i can almost guarantee you won't like the mfx demo i linked, but well, mfx's style is definitely what i'd call "cutting edge". they have many other awesome demos; some more links for you to check if you feel like something new -
