Nice colours and structure. :)

I got the feeling that you have to have some categories to split them into, for instance if they are continuous and/or local/global flat (consider the curvature of a small sphere and a plane at different distances). With the few polynomials I have played with, using the Julia/Mandelbrot DE can give useful results.
